We build for accountancy practices, and nothing else

Double Entry Digital is a trading name of WDL Digital Ltd, company number 12944648, a web design company working since 2020. This brand exists because accountancy practices kept getting sold generic small-business websites that ignored everything specific about how a practice actually wins work.

Specialising is the advice we give our clients: a firm that says “we do accounts, tax and payroll” competes on fee, and a firm that says “we are the accountants for construction contractors in south London” competes on fit. It would be strange to give that advice and then be a generalist agency ourselves. So this is all we do.

How we use your details.

Who builds these sites

Double Entry Digital is a trading name of WDL Digital Ltd, a web design company registered in England and Wales, number 12944648, working since 2020. We build for UK accountancy practices and nothing else.

The team includes an FCCA-qualified accountant, which is why the compliance review on every build is done by someone who has read the ACCA Rulebook rather than someone who has heard of it.

The name

Every entry has two sides. So does being found in 2026.

One side is the search result your prospective client clicks. The other is the answer an AI assistant gives them before they click anything, which increasingly sits above every organic result and names a shortlist of firms.

Most accountancy websites are built for the first and invisible to the second. Building for both is the whole proposition, and it is where the name comes from.

How we work

Four things we do differently

We publish our prices

You should be able to rule us in or out without booking a call. Every price on this site is real, and the quote we send you is fixed before any work starts.

We work in writing

Briefs, revisions, reports. It is faster for you, it survives your January, and it leaves a record a partner can read without sitting through a repeat of the conversation.

We write the content

You are not sent a blank template to fill in on a Sunday evening. Writing the pages is the job, not homework we set you.

We say when to spend less

If a smaller package would do, we say so in the quote. If your existing site can be fixed rather than rebuilt, we will tell you that instead of selling you a rebuild.

What we will not do

Three things, stated up front

We will not invent proof. The example designs on this site are concepts for fictional practices and they say so on every card. The reviews are real, collected offline from practices the team has built websites for. We will not show you someone else's website pretending it is ours, and we will not write testimonials.

We will not guarantee rankings. Nobody honest can. We will tell you which search terms are realistically winnable for your firm, because we screen every one for difficulty before targeting it, and we will show you the numbers.

We will not take money for work that cannot succeed. If your current site is on a locked-down platform, too slow to fix, or has no structure to build on, we will say so at the audit stage and quote for a rebuild rather than billing you monthly to push a rock uphill.

FAQs

About us

Who actually builds the site?

The same small team that designs and writes it. There is no account manager layer, no offshore handoff and no junior learning on your project. You deal with the people doing the work.

Why only accountancy practices?

Because specialising is the advice we give you, and it would be odd not to take it. Working in one sector means we already know what a practising certificate is, why you cannot promise tax savings in a headline, what your clients mean when they say the portal is confusing, and why nothing should launch in the third week of January.

Are you a new company?

Double Entry Digital is a new brand. It is a trading name of WDL Digital Ltd, company number 12944648, which has been building websites since 2020. The reviews on this site are from accountancy practices the team has worked with.

Where are you based?

London. We work with practices across the UK and the whole process runs remotely by default, which is faster for everyone. Our location pages focus on London and Essex because that is where our local presence is strongest.

Who is behind Double Entry Digital?

Double Entry Digital is a trading name of WDL Digital Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 12944648, registered office 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. The company has been building websites since 2020. The team includes an FCCA-qualified accountant, which is why the compliance read on every build is done by someone who has actually worked to the rulebook.

How much do your websites cost?

£1,450 one-off for a five page Practice Starter build, £2,950 for Practice Growth at twelve to fifteen pages, and £5,500 for Practice Authority with a full location and specialism cluster. A £50 a month care plan runs alongside from launch. All prices exclude VAT and all of them are published on the pricing page rather than kept behind a call.

Are you an agency or a freelancer?

A limited company with a small team, deliberately kept small. You deal with the people doing the work rather than an account manager relaying messages to them.

How many accountancy practices have you worked with?

We do not publish a client count, and you should be sceptical of anyone in this market who does. What we will do is tell you honestly whether we have built something close to what you need, and if you want to speak to a practice we have worked with, ask and we will see who is willing.

Why should we trust a specialist over a bigger agency?

Judge it on the work rather than the size. A larger agency brings more people and more process; a specialist brings the fact that it has already solved the problems specific to a regulated practice. Ask either one what a practising certificate is, what the ACCA Rulebook says about claims, and why review stars on your own site are a bad idea. The answers will settle it.

What if we are not happy with the result?

Two rounds of changes are included in every package, and anything we got wrong against your written brief is fixed at no cost however many rounds that takes. If the site never goes live because we could not deliver what was agreed, you are not paying the balance. The full position is set out in the terms of business.

Where are you based?

The registered office is 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. The work is done in writing rather than in meetings, which is why a practice in Southend gets the same attention and the same price as one in Westminster.

Do you work with anything other than accountancy practices?

Under this brand, no. WDL Digital Ltd works across other sectors, but Double Entry Digital exists solely for UK accountancy practices, and that is the point of it.
