These terms cover your use of this website. They are not the terms we work to on a project: those are our terms of business, and they are published in full so you can read them before you enquire rather than after you have committed.

Using this site
You are welcome to read, quote and link to anything here. Please do not:
- copy substantial parts of the written content and publish it as your own
- use the site or the enquiry form to send unlawful, misleading or abusive material
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its hosting
- scrape the site in a way that degrades it for other people
The concept designs
Every practice shown in a concept design on this site is fictional. Whitcombe & Hale, Ledgerline, Clearbook, Northfold Tax, Ashcombe and Merton Row do not exist. The names, headlines, statistics and credentials shown inside those designs are illustrative and were invented to demonstrate layout and structure. They are not clients, not case studies, and not claims about work we have done.
We say this plainly because the opposite is common and we think it is dishonest.
The guidance we publish
Our guides discuss accountancy practice, marketing rules and tax administration because that is the sector we build for. They are general information about running a practice's website and marketing. They are not accountancy, tax, legal or regulatory advice, and reading them does not create a professional relationship.
Rules change, and figures date. Every figure we quote is dated on the page so you can see how fresh it is. Before acting on anything here, check the current position with your professional body or your own adviser. Compliance with the ICAEW Code of Ethics, the ACCA Rulebook, the CAP Code or any other applicable rules remains your responsibility as the regulated party.
Search and marketing data
Search volumes, keyword difficulty scores and cost-per-click figures on this site come from DataforSEO for the United Kingdom, and business counts come from Google Business Profile listings. Both are third-party estimates that move over time. We date them and we do not present them as guarantees of results.
No guarantee of results
We do not promise rankings, positions, enquiry volumes or revenue, and we would be suspicious of anyone in our industry who did. What we commit to is set out in the written agreement for your project.
Prices
Prices shown on this site are starting points, exclusive of VAT where VAT applies, and are indicative until we give you a written quote for your specific project. The quote we send you is the number that counts.
Intellectual property
The design, code, written content and concept designs on this site belong to WDL Digital Ltd (company number 12944648) unless stated otherwise. Third-party names such as Xero, QuickBooks, TaxDome, Karbon, IRIS, GoProposal, Dext and FreeAgent are the trade marks of their respective owners and are used here to describe compatibility, not to imply endorsement or partnership unless we say so explicitly.

We link to third-party websites where they are useful. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices.
Availability
We aim to keep the site up but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
