Website design for e-commerce accountants
Online sellers do not judge you on your ICAEW badge. They judge you on whether you have heard of A2X, whether you understand marketplace VAT and whether your site looks like the software they already use all day. We build for that audience, from £1,450.
Integrations are the trust signal
in this niche, not credentials. A seller doing £2m through Amazon and Shopify wants to know you can reconcile settlement reports, not that you have been established since 1994. The logo wall does more work than the About page.
What your future clients are searching

Six things this niche needs
Integrations as the hero
Shopify, Amazon, A2X, Xero, Stripe, Link My Books. Sellers scan for the tools they use and stop reading if they are not there.
Cross-border VAT content
OSS, IOSS, marketplace facilitator rules and the point at which a seller needs to register abroad. Genuinely hard, widely searched and barely covered properly.
Turnover-based qualifying
A fee guide banded by revenue or order volume, so a seller can place themselves before enquiring and you stop quoting for people you do not want.
Inventory and COGS
The thing generalist accountants get wrong and sellers have usually been burned by. Say it plainly and you have separated yourself in one sentence.
Modern, not corporate
This audience lives in Shopify and Stripe dashboards. A traditional accountancy design reads as "does not understand my business" before a word is read.
Fast, because they will check
People who run online shops know what a slow page costs. A sluggish accountancy site is a poor first impression on this audience specifically.

E-commerce accountants, answered
What do e-commerce sellers look for on an accountant's website?
Evidence you have handled their platform and their volume. Integration logos, marketplace VAT content and a fee structure that scales with revenue. Credentials matter far less here than in traditional practice.
Should we specialise by platform?
It helps. "Amazon FBA accountants" is a narrower and more convincing claim than "e-commerce accountants", and the search terms behind it are less contested. You can always widen later.
What content performs best?
Cross-border VAT after Brexit, A2X and reconciliation setup, inventory accounting, and platform-specific fee treatment. These are hard, high-stakes questions and the firms answering them properly get cited.
Do we need a fee calculator?
A banded fee guide is usually enough and much easier to maintain. Sellers want to know roughly what they will pay before they get in touch, and bands by turnover do that without over-promising.
How much does an e-commerce accountancy website cost?
From £1,450 for five pages. Most e-commerce practices take Practice Growth at £2,950 because the integration pages and VAT guides need the room. A £50 a month care plan runs alongside.
